Crispy Air Fryer Potato Slices, a popular and easy-to-make side dish or appetizer

Ingredients

  • 2 medium russet potatoes (or Yukon gold), washed
  • 1½ tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: fresh parsley, grated parmesan, or dipping sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Slice the Potatoes:
Thinly slice the potatoes into 1/8 to 1/4-inch rounds using a knife or mandoline for even slices.
  2. Soak (Optional but recommended):
Place the slices in a bowl of cold water for 15–20 minutes to remove excess starch. This helps them get crispier.
  3. Dry the Slices:
Drain and pat the slices dry thoroughly using a clean towel or paper towels.
  4. Season:
In a large bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  5. Preheat the Air Fryer:
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  6. Air Fry:
Arrange the slices in a single layer (do not overcrowd) in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 10–15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  7. Serve:
Remove and sprinkle with fresh parsley or parmesan if desired. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
