- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, beat the eggs until light and fluffy. Add the sugar and vanilla extract, and continue to beat until well combined.
- Add Dry Ingredients: Gently fold in the flour until just combined.
- Heat Milk & Butter: In a small saucepan, heat the milk and butter together until the butter is melted and the milk is hot, but not boiling.
- Combine: Slowly pour the hot milk mixture into the batter, stirring constantly until smooth.
- Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool & Serve: Let the cake cool slightly before slicing. Enjoy warm or chilled — so creamy and delicious!
