Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder. Set aside.
- In another large bowl, beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy (about 5–7 minutes).
- Gently fold in the dry ingredients until just combined—don’t overmix!
- In a small saucepan, heat the milk and butter until the butter melts and the mixture is hot, but not boiling.
- Slowly pour the hot milk mixture into the batter while whisking constantly.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until golden on top and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool slightly, slice, and serve warm or chilled. Optional: drizzle with condensed milk or top with whipped cream for extra indulgence!
