Creamy Homemade Cream Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Chill: Chill a metal bowl and beaters in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Combine: In the chilled bowl, combine heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
  3. Whip: Using an electric mixer, beat the mixture on medium-high speed until soft peaks form.
  4. Serve: Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Tips:

  • For a thicker cream, chill the bowl and beaters longer.
  • To prevent overwhipping, stop beating as soon as stiff peaks form. Overwhipping can result in butter.  
  • Add a pinch of salt to enhance the flavor.
  • Use homemade or store-bought heavy cream.
