Creamy Fried Bombs

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 can (8-count) refrigerated biscuit dough or puff pastry
  • 1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Assemble the Bombs: Roll out the biscuit dough or puff pastry. Cut into small squares or circles. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center.
  3. Seal: Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal completely. Roll into a ball shape.
  4. Heat Oil: In a deep pan, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry: Carefully drop the bombs into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Coat: Remove from oil and drain on a paper towel. Roll in granulated sugar mixed with cinnamon while warm.
  7. Serve: Enjoy warm with your favorite dipping sauce or dusted with extra powdered sugar!
