Creamy Fried Bombs

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup cooked chicken (shredded or diced, optional)
  • 1/2 cup cooked spinach (optional)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, oregano, black pepper, and optional ingredients like chicken or spinach. Mix until well blended.
  2. Scoop out small portions of the creamy mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls. Set aside on a parchment-lined tray.
  3. Set up a breading station: One shallow dish with flour, another with the beaten eggs, and a third with breadcrumbs.
  4. Roll each cheese ball first in the flour, then dip in the egg, and coat with breadcrumbs. Press gently to ensure they are well coated.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or fryer over medium heat.
  6. Once the oil is hot, carefully drop the cheese bombs into the oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding.
  7. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve hot with marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.

Enjoy your creamy, cheesy, crispy fried bombs!
