This recipe yields a rich, creamy, and melt-in-your-mouth Chocolate Fudge. It’s a simple treat that requires no candy thermometer and is perfect for gifting or indulging in a sweet craving.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (or milk chocolate chips)
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, etc.)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Pan: Line an 8×8 inch square baking pan with parchment paper or foil, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
  2. Melt Chocolate, Butter, and Milk: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Stir constantly until the chocolate and butter are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Add Vanilla and Nuts (Optional): Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract. If using, stir in the chopped nuts.
  4. Pour into Pan: Pour the chocolate mixture into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  5. Chill: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  6. Cut and Serve: Once the fudge is firm, use the parchment paper or foil overhang to lift it out of the pan. Cut into squares and serve.
