Creamy Carrot-Orange Smoothie


Ingredients

  • 2 large carrots, peeled and chopped
  • 1 large orange, peeled and segmented
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt (or coconut yogurt for dairy-free)
  • 1/2 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed, if possible)
  • 1 small piece fresh ginger (optional, for a zesty kick)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, to taste)
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes (optional, for extra chill and thickness)

Instructions

  1. Add the chopped carrots and orange segments to a blender.
  2. Pour in the orange juice and add the yogurt.
  3. Add ginger if using, plus honey or maple syrup if you’d like it sweeter.
  4. Blend on high until smooth and creamy. If needed, add a bit more juice to reach your desired consistency.
  5. Add ice cubes and blend again until thick and frosty.
  6. Pour into a glass, garnish with an orange slice or a sprinkle of grated carrot if desired, and enjoy immediately!
