- 1 cup crushed Doritos (any flavor you prefer)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare Chicken: Slice a pocket in each chicken breast, being careful not to cut all the way through.
- Make Filling: In a small bowl, mix cream cheese and chopped bacon until well combined.
- Stuff Chicken: Fill each chicken pocket with the cream cheese and bacon mixture. Secure with toothpicks if needed.
- Season Chicken: Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper on the chicken.
- Coat with Doritos: Press crushed Doritos onto all sides of each chicken breast.
- Bake: Place chicken on a greased baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil or melted butter. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the coating is golden brown.
- Serve: Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes, remove toothpicks, and serve hot.
TIPS
- Crispier Crust: Spray the Doritos coating lightly with cooking spray before baking.
- Cheese Variations: Add shredded cheddar or mozzarella for extra gooeyness.
- Spicy Kick: Use Flamin’ Hot Doritos or add a pinch of cayenne to the cream cheese filling.
- Make Ahead: Stuff and coat the chicken, then refrigerate for up to 24 hours before baking.
