Ingredients:
- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
- 1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, or strawberries)
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- Honey or powdered sugar for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut it into squares, about 2 inches by 2 inches.
- In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Place a small spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each puff pastry square.
- Add a couple of berries on top of the cream cheese mixture.
- Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling, pinching them together to seal.
- Brush the tops of the pastry bites with the beaten egg.
- Place the bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Drizzle with honey or dust with powdered sugar if desired.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
