Cream and Berry Filled Bites Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, or strawberries)
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • Honey or powdered sugar for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut it into squares, about 2 inches by 2 inches.
  3. In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Place a small spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each puff pastry square.
  5. Add a couple of berries on top of the cream cheese mixture.
  6. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling, pinching them together to seal.
  7. Brush the tops of the pastry bites with the beaten egg.
  8. Place the bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.
  10. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Drizzle with honey or dust with powdered sugar if desired.
  11. Serve warm and enjoy!
