- 1/2 cup (120ml) milk (whole or 2%)
- 1 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
For the Apple Mixture:
- 2 cups (240g) peeled and diced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work well)

For the Cinnamon Sugar Swirl:
- 1/3 cup (65g) brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
For the Glaze:
- 1/2 cup (60g) powdered sugar
- 2–3 tsp milk or cream
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper. - Prepare the Apple Mixture:
In a small bowl, combine the diced apples, granulated sugar, and cinnamon. Set aside. - Make the Batter:
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix in the milk until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Assemble the Bread:
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Evenly sprinkle half of the apple mixture over the batter.
- Combine the brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl, then sprinkle half of it over the apples.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining batter, apples, and cinnamon sugar. Gently swirl the layers together with a knife for a marbled effect.
- Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 55–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. - Cool and Glaze:
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar with 2–3 teaspoons of milk until smooth. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bread.
- Serve:
