Condensed Milk Recipe

This simple homemade condensed milk recipe is perfect for desserts, beverages, or any recipe calling for sweetened condensed milk. It’s easy to make with just a few ingredients and takes only a few minutes.


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk
  • 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons (30 g) unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the milk and sugar. Stir well to dissolve the sugar.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  3. Once the sugar is dissolved, add the butter and let it melt completely.
  4. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and cook for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens and reduces by about half.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract if desired.
  6. Allow the mixture to cool before transferring it to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
