Condensed Milk Cake

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 can (14 oz / 400g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round or square cake pan.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, beat together the butter and condensed milk until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Add dry ingredients: Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold this into the wet mixture until just combined—don’t overmix.
  4. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Cool and serve: Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Serve plain, dusted with powdered sugar, or with whipped cream and fruit.
