Ingredients
- 1 can (14 oz / 400 g) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup melted butter (or oil)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
Optional Toppings:
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
- Fresh fruit or whipped cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch (23 cm) round or square baking pan.
- Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the condensed milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add dry ingredients: Sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gently fold everything together until just combined—do not overmix.
- Pour & smooth: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake: Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool & serve: Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar if desired and slice to serve.
