Ingredients
- 1 can (14 oz / 400 g) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter, melted
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a loaf pan or 8-inch round cake pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the condensed milk and melted butter until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined — do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 30–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Serve plain, dusted with powdered sugar, or topped with fresh fruit and whipped cream.
