Condensed Milk Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 can (14 oz / 400 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8-inch (20 cm) round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk the condensed milk and melted butter until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt together, then gently fold into the wet mixture until combined and smooth.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar or top with fresh fruit if desired.
