Ingredients
- 1/2 cup carrot seed oil
- 1/4 cup shea butter
- 1/4 cup cocoa butter
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tbsp sweet almond oil
- 10 drops of lavender essential oil (optional for fragrance)
- 5 drops of carrot seed essential oil (optional for additional skin benefits)
Instructions
- Melt the Butters: In a double boiler, combine the shea butter, cocoa butter, and coconut oil. Gently heat until everything is melted together. Stir occasionally to ensure the mixture is evenly blended.
- Add the Oils: Remove the melted butter mixture from heat. Add the carrot seed oil, sweet almond oil, and optional carrot seed essential oil. Stir well to combine.
- Cool and Whisk: Allow the mixture to cool for about 10-15 minutes, then place it in the fridge for another 20-30 minutes until it starts to solidify. Once it’s firming up but still soft, use a hand mixer or whisk to whip the body butter for a fluffy texture.
- Add Fragrance (Optional): If desired, add the lavender essential oil and whisk again to distribute it evenly.
- Store: Transfer the whipped body butter into a clean, airtight container. Store in a cool, dry place.
To Use: Apply a generous amount to your skin, especially around areas prone to wrinkles like the face, neck, and hands. Massage gently and allow the butter to absorb fully. Use daily for best results.
