Ingredients
- 1 whole lemon (organic preferred)
- 5–6 cloves of garlic (peeled and minced)
- 1 tablespoon honey (raw, unfiltered is best)
- 1 cup water
- Optional: 1 small piece of fresh ginger (peeled and sliced)
Instructions
- Prepare the Ingredients:
Wash the lemon thoroughly. Cut it into thin slices (including the peel, if organic). Mince the garlic cloves. If using ginger, slice it thinly. - Boil the Mixture:
In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Add the lemon slices, garlic, and ginger (if using). Reduce the heat and simmer for 10–15 minutes. - Cool and Add Honey:
Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly. Stir in the honey once it’s warm (not hot) to preserve its nutrients. - Strain (Optional):
Strain the mixture into a jar or cup for easier drinking. - How to Use:
- Drink a warm cup of this remedy 2–3 times a day.
- Best taken in the morning, afternoon, and before bedtime.
- Store any leftover in the refrigerator and reheat gently before drinking.
Benefits:
- Lemon: High in vitamin C, boosts immunity, and acts as a natural detox.
- Garlic: Contains allicin, a powerful antimicrobial compound that helps clear respiratory infections.
- Honey: Soothes the throat and has antibacterial properties.
- Ginger (optional): Helps reduce inflammation and ease congestion.
