Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 2 tablespoons honey (preferably raw)
- 1 lemon (juiced)
- 2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 small onion (optional, for added expectorant properties)
- 2 cloves garlic (optional, for immune support)
Instructions
- Boil the Water:
In a small pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. - Add the Ingredients:
Once boiling, add grated ginger, turmeric, and (if using) chopped onion and crushed garlic. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. - Strain the Mixture:
Remove from heat and strain into a mug or jar. - Add Lemon and Honey:
Stir in the fresh lemon juice and honey while the mixture is still warm, but not hot (to preserve the nutrients in the honey). - How to Use:
Drink 1/2 cup of this remedy 2–3 times a day, warm, for three days. Store any leftover mixture in the fridge and warm before drinking.
