INGREDIENTS

  • 1 whole bulb of garlic (about 8–10 cloves)
  • 2 fresh lemons
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey (optional but recommended)
  • 1.5 cups (350 ml) of water

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Peel the garlic cloves and finely mince or crush them to release their beneficial compounds (allicin).
  2. Squeeze the juice from the lemons and set aside.
  3. In a small saucepan, bring the water to a gentle boil.
  4. Reduce the heat and add the minced garlic. Simmer for 5–10 minutes, but do not boil hard (to preserve the garlic’s medicinal properties).
  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  6. Stir in the lemon juice and honey (if using).
  7. Pour into a glass jar and refrigerate once cooled.
