INGREDIENTS
- 1 whole bulb of garlic (about 8–10 cloves)
- 2 fresh lemons
- 1 tablespoon raw honey (optional but recommended)
- 1.5 cups (350 ml) of water
INSTRUCTIONS
- Peel the garlic cloves and finely mince or crush them to release their beneficial compounds (allicin).
- Squeeze the juice from the lemons and set aside.
- In a small saucepan, bring the water to a gentle boil.
- Reduce the heat and add the minced garlic. Simmer for 5–10 minutes, but do not boil hard (to preserve the garlic’s medicinal properties).
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Stir in the lemon juice and honey (if using).
- Pour into a glass jar and refrigerate once cooled.
🧉 HOW TO USE:
- Drink 1–2 tablespoons of the mixture 2–3 times a day for up to 3 days.
- Shake well before each use.
🌿 Notes:
- Garlic is a natural expectorant and antimicrobial.
- Lemon provides vitamin C and helps break down mucus.
- Honey soothes the throat and has antibacterial properties.
