INGREDENT

  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon turmeric powder (or 1-inch fresh turmeric root, grated)
  • 1 small onion (grated or juiced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (crushed)
  • 2 tablespoons raw honey
  • 1 lemon (juice only)
  • 2 cups water
  • Optional: a pinch of black pepper (to activate turmeric)

Instructions

  1. In a small pot, add water, ginger, turmeric, garlic, and onion.
  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 15–20 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  4. Strain the mixture into a cup.
  5. Add lemon juice and raw honey, stir well.
  6. Drink warm, 2–3 times a day for three days.

  • Best taken on an empty stomach or between meals.
