Ingredients
- 1 whole garlic bulb (about 10 cloves), peeled and minced
- 2 lemons, juiced
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for taste)
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 small piece of ginger (optional), grated
Instructions
- In a small pot, bring the water to a gentle simmer.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger (if using) to the water. Simmer for 5–7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
- Stir in the lemon juice and honey (if using).
- Strain the mixture if desired, then pour into a glass jar or cup.
- Drink one warm cup in the morning and one in the evening for up to three days.

- Garlic and lemon both have antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties that may help clear congestion and soothe a cough.
