Hot Tea with Bay Leaf
Ingredients
- 3–4 bay leaves (dried or fresh)
- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional, for sweetness)
- 1 small piece of cinnamon stick or a pinch of ground cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan.
- Add the bay leaves and cinnamon (if using). Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 5–7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and strain the tea into a mug.
- Add honey for sweetness, if desired, and stir well.
- Sip slowly while warm, enjoying the soothing effects.
Honey Syrup
Ingredients:
- 1 cup raw honey
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger (optional)
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder or a small piece of fresh turmeric (optional)
Instructions:
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the honey, lemon juice, grated ginger, and turmeric powder. Stir until fully blended.
- Transfer the mixture to a clean, airtight jar for storage.
- Take 1 teaspoon every 2–3 hours to soothe your throat and clear mucus.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
