Ingredients
- 1 cup warm (not boiling) filtered water
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice (about ½ lemon)
- ½ teaspoon freshly grated ginger (or 2–3 thin slices)
- Optional: 1 teaspoon raw honey or a pinch of cayenne pepper for added benefits
Instructions
- Warm your water until it’s hot but still comfortable to drink.
- Add the lemon juice and grated (or sliced) ginger to the water.
- Stir well. If using honey or cayenne, add now and mix until dissolved.
- Let it steep for 2–3 minutes if using sliced ginger.
- Sip slowly on an empty stomach in the morning.
