CLEANSING FOOD FOR THE LIVER: LEMON GINGER DETOX DRINK

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm (not boiling) filtered water
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice (about ½ lemon)
  • ½ teaspoon freshly grated ginger (or 2–3 thin slices)
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon raw honey or a pinch of cayenne pepper for added benefits

Instructions

  1. Warm your water until it’s hot but still comfortable to drink.
  2. Add the lemon juice and grated (or sliced) ginger to the water.
  3. Stir well. If using honey or cayenne, add now and mix until dissolved.
  4. Let it steep for 2–3 minutes if using sliced ginger.
  5. Sip slowly on an empty stomach in the morning.
