Ingredients
- 2 medium oranges (preferably organic)
- 2 lemons (preferably organic)
- 1–2 tablespoons raw honey (optional)
- 2 cups water
- 1 small piece of ginger (about 1 inch), peeled and sliced (optional but recommended)
Instructions
- Wash & Prepare: Thoroughly wash the oranges and lemons. Cut them into slices or wedges, removing any seeds.
- Boil: In a medium saucepan, add the water and bring it to a boil. Add the orange, lemon slices, and ginger (if using).
- Simmer: Reduce the heat and let it simmer gently for about 10–15 minutes.
- Strain: Remove from heat. Strain the liquid into a mug or jar.
- Sweeten: Stir in honey while the tea is still warm, if desired.
- Drink: Sip warm. Drink 1–2 cups daily — morning and evening — for up to 3 days to help soothe coughing and clear your lungs naturally.
Tip: For extra benefit, inhale the steam while it’s simmering — it helps open airways!
