Ingredients
- 2 large oranges
- 1 large lemon
- 1 medium piece of fresh ginger (about 2–3 inches)
- 2 tablespoons raw honey (optional, for extra soothing effect)
- 2 cups water
Instructions
- Wash the oranges, lemon, and ginger thoroughly.
- Peel the oranges and lemon, remove any seeds, and cut into pieces.
- Peel the ginger and slice it thinly.
- Add the orange, lemon, and ginger to a pot with 2 cups of water.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10–15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Strain the mixture into a cup or jar.
- Stir in honey while warm (not boiling hot) if using.
- Drink 1/2 cup warm, 2–3 times a day for up to 3 days.
