Ingredients
- 1 large onion (red or yellow)
- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon raw honey (optional, for taste)
- Juice of 1 lemon (optional, for added vitamin C)
Instructions
- Peel and chop the onion into small pieces.
- Boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan.
- Add the chopped onion to the boiling water.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 10–15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Strain the liquid into a clean container using a fine sieve or cheesecloth.
- Optional: Stir in 1 tablespoon of honey and the juice of 1 lemon for flavor and added benefits.
- Consume 2 tablespoons, 2–3 times a day (morning, afternoon, evening) for up to 3 days.
✅ Tips:
- Best taken warm.
- Store in the fridge for up to 2 days.
- Not suitable for babies under 1 year due to honey.
