Ingredients

  • 1 large onion (red or yellow)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey (optional, for taste)
  • Juice of 1 lemon (optional, for added vitamin C)

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop the onion into small pieces.
  2. Boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan.
  3. Add the chopped onion to the boiling water.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for 10–15 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  6. Strain the liquid into a clean container using a fine sieve or cheesecloth.
  7. Optional: Stir in 1 tablespoon of honey and the juice of 1 lemon for flavor and added benefits.
  8. Consume 2 tablespoons, 2–3 times a day (morning, afternoon, evening) for up to 3 days.

✅ Tips:

  • Best taken warm.
  • Store in the fridge for up to 2 days.
  • Not suitable for babies under 1 year due to honey.
