Cinnamon Roll Cake

Ingredients

For the Cake:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Cinnamon Swirl:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat & Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Make the Cake Batter: In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk, eggs, vanilla, and melted butter. Stir until smooth. Pour into the prepared baking dish.
  3. Make the Cinnamon Swirl: In a small bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until combined. Drop spoonfuls of the cinnamon mixture over the cake batter. Use a knife to swirl it into the batter.
  4. Bake: Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Prepare the Glaze: While the cake bakes, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  6. Glaze the Cake: Once the cake is done and slightly cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top.
