Cinnamon Donut Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Cinnamon Sugar Coating:

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven & Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and set aside.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk the milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Make Batter: Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool: Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack.
  7. Coat with Cinnamon Sugar: Brush the bread with melted butter, then sprinkle or roll in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
