INGREDENT
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup buttermilk
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Cinnamon Sugar Swirl:
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 1½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
- In another bowl, combine egg, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla. Stir the wet mixture into the dry ingredients just until moistened—do not overmix.
- In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and sugar for the swirl.
- Pour half the batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle half the cinnamon-sugar over the batter. Pour in the rest of the batter, then sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-sugar on top.
- Use a knife to swirl the cinnamon-sugar into the batter by cutting through it in a zigzag motion.
- Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
