Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup red and green M&M’s (holiday variety)
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
- Holiday sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Mix until just combined.
- Fold in the M&M’s, white chocolate chips, and nuts if using.
- Spread batter evenly into the prepared baking pan. Top with extra M&M’s and festive sprinkles for a holiday touch.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool completely in the pan before slicing into bars.
- Serve and enjoy with a cup of cocoa or give them as holiday gifts!
