CHOCOLATE PECAN TURTLE CLUSTERS😋 recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pecan halves (toasted if you like extra flavor!)
  • 1 (11 oz) bag soft caramels (about 35-40 pieces), unwrapped
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1½ cups semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or vegetable oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your tray
Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper.
  2. Arrange pecans
Make small clusters of 3–4 pecan halves on the sheet, spaced out.
  3. Melt the caramel
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine caramels and heavy cream. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until smooth and melted.
  4. Add caramel to pecans
Spoon a small amount of melted caramel over each pecan cluster, just enough to stick them together. Let them sit for 10–15 minutes to firm up slightly.
  5. Melt the chocolate
Melt chocolate chips (and coconut oil, if using) in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-30 second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  6. Top with chocolate
Spoon melted chocolate over each cluster, covering the caramel. Use the back of a spoon to smooth it out.
  7. Set the clusters
Let them cool at room temp or pop them in the fridge for 15–20 minutes until set.
  8. Enjoy!
Once firm, peel off the paper and devour your homemade turtle clusters!
