1/4 cup honey or maple syrup (adjust for sweetness)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
A pinch of salt (optional)
Instructions:
Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, add the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until completely melted and smooth. Alternatively, you can melt the chocolate using a double boiler on the stovetop.
Combine Peanut Butter and Sweetener: In a separate bowl, mix the creamy peanut butter, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt (if using). Stir until well combined and smooth.
Mix Chocolate and Peanut Butter: Pour the melted chocolate into the peanut butter mixture. Stir until the two mixtures are fully combined and the mixture is smooth.
Set the Mixture: Line a small baking dish or a tray with parchment paper. Pour the chocolate-peanut butter mixture into the dish, spreading it evenly. You can use a spatula to smooth the top if needed.
Chill: Place the dish in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours, or until the mixture is firm.
Cut and Serve: Once set, remove the mixture from the dish using the parchment paper. Cut into squares or bars. Enjoy your delicious chocolate peanut butter treats!
Storage: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
