Ingredients
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons shortening (optional, for smoother chocolate)
Instructions
In a large bowl, mix together the peanut butter, softened butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar, stirring until fully combined and a thick dough forms.
- Shape the mixture into small balls (about 1 inch) and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Freeze the balls for 20–30 minutes to firm them up.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and shortening together in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth.
- Using a fork or toothpick, dip each peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate, coating completely.
- Place them back on the parchment paper and refrigerate until the chocolate is set.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature.
