- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup crushed graham crackers or cookie crumbs
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1 cup mini marshmallows (optional)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for dusting or optional layer)
Instructions
- Prepare the base layer:
In a medium bowl, combine crushed graham crackers and 1/4 cup melted butter. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a lined 8×8 inch baking pan to form the crust. Set aside. - Make the chocolate fudge layer:
In a saucepan over low heat, melt together the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Stir constantly until smooth and glossy. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. - Assemble layers:
Pour half of the chocolate fudge mixture over the crust and spread evenly. Sprinkle the chopped nuts and mini marshmallows (if using) evenly on top. Pour the remaining chocolate fudge mixture over the top layer and smooth it out. - Chill:
Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or until the fudge is firm. - Serve:
Once set, cut into squares, dust with powdered sugar if desired, and enjoy!
