Chocolate Drizzle Brownies” recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (for drizzle)
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (for drizzle)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and combined.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. If using chocolate chips, fold them in.
  6. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let cool in the pan.
  8. While the brownies are cooling, prepare the chocolate drizzle: in a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over low heat until it begins to simmer. Remove from heat and stir in the 1/2 cup of chocolate chips until smooth.
  9. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cooled brownies.
  10. Let the drizzle set for about 10-15 minutes before cutting into squares and serving.
