Chocolate Cake Recipe

A moist and decadent chocolate cake that’s perfect for any occasion. This easy-to-follow recipe ensures a rich chocolate flavor and a light, fluffy texture.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ¾ cups (220g) all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup (65g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups (400g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup (240ml) whole milk
  • ½ cup (120ml) vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (240ml) boiling water

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
  3. Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla to the dry ingredients and beat until smooth and well combined.
  4. Gradually stir in the boiling water until the batter is thin and evenly mixed.
  5. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
  6. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Frost and decorate as desired. Serve and enjoy!
