Chicken Parmesan grilled cheese sandwich

INGREDENT

  • 2 slices of sourdough or Italian bread
  • 1 cooked breaded chicken cutlet (store-bought or homemade)
  • ½ cup marinara sauce
  • 1–2 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 1–2 slices provolone cheese
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter (softened)
  • Fresh basil (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Bread:
Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. Sprinkle a little grated Parmesan over the buttered side for extra crispiness.
  2. Layer the Sandwich:
Place one slice of bread butter-side down on a skillet. Add mozzarella and provolone slices, the cooked chicken cutlet, a spoonful or two of marinara sauce, and a little more Parmesan cheese. Top with the second bread slice, buttered side up.
  3. Grill the Sandwich:
Cook on medium heat until golden brown and crispy, about 3–4 minutes per side. Press down gently with a spatula as it cooks.
  4. Serve:
Slice in half and serve hot with extra marinara sauce for dipping. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
