Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (or your choice of oil)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prep the Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel. This helps in getting a nice crispy texture. If the chicken breasts are thick, you can butterfly them or gently pound them to an even thickness for quicker cooking.
- Season: In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, salt, and thyme (if using). Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.
- Heat the Pan: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Ensure the oil is hot but not smoking before adding the chicken.
- Cook the Chicken: Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
- Optional Finish: If desired, drizzle fresh lemon juice over the chicken breasts just before removing them from the skillet to add a tangy flavor.
- Garnish and Serve: Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot with your favorite sides!
Enjoy your crispy, flavorful chicken breast fry!
