Chicken Breast Fry

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (or your choice of oil)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel. This helps in getting a nice crispy texture. If the chicken breasts are thick, you can butterfly them or gently pound them to an even thickness for quicker cooking.
  2. Season: In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, salt, and thyme (if using). Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.
  3. Heat the Pan: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Ensure the oil is hot but not smoking before adding the chicken.
  4. Cook the Chicken: Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
  5. Optional Finish: If desired, drizzle fresh lemon juice over the chicken breasts just before removing them from the skillet to add a tangy flavor.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot with your favorite sides!

Enjoy your crispy, flavorful chicken breast fry!
