- 3 cups cooked chicken (shredded or cubed)
- 1 box (6 oz) stuffing mix (like Stove Top)
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth or water
- 1/2 cup milk (optional, for creamier texture)
- 2 tbsp melted butter (for topping)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: 1/2 cup cooked vegetables (peas, green beans, or corn)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Prepare the stuffing according to package directions, but use only 3/4 of the water/butter amount for slightly firmer texture.
- In a large bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and milk (if using). Stir in shredded chicken and vegetables if using. Season with salt and pepper.
- Spread the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Top evenly with prepared stuffing mix.
- Drizzle melted butter over the top for golden crispness.
- Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
- Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
