Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- A pinch of salt and pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk the egg and milk together to make the egg wash.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to smooth it out a bit.
- Brush the surface of the pastry lightly with the egg wash.
- Sprinkle the cheddar cheese evenly over half of the pastry, along with Parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper if using.
- Fold the other half of the pastry over the cheese side, pressing down gently.
- Brush the top with more egg wash and sprinkle a little extra cheese if desired.
- Cut into small squares or strips, depending on the shape you like.
- Place the pieces onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown, puffy, and cheesy!
- Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
