- 1 loaf of Texas toast (thick-sliced bread)
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley (optional)
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
- In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Spread a generous layer of the garlic butter mixture on each slice of Texas toast.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan cheeses evenly over the buttered slices.
- Place the toast on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- For extra browning, broil on high for 1-2 minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired.
- Serve warm as a side dish or snack.
