Cheesy Texas Toast Recipe

A quick and easy way to make delicious, cheesy, garlic-infused Texas Toast at home. Perfect as a side dish or snack.

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf Texas Toast (frozen or fresh, thick-sliced)
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2-4 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 teaspoon garlic powder)
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or a blend of cheeses like cheddar, Monterey Jack, etc.)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley (or Italian seasoning)
  • Pinch of salt and black pepper (to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Garlic Butter:
    • In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic (or garlic powder), parsley (or Italian seasoning), salt, and pepper. Mix well until thoroughly combined.
  2. Prepare the Bread:
    • If using frozen Texas Toast, you can follow the package instructions for pre-heating. If using fresh thick sliced bread, Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
    • If using fresh bread, lay the slices on a baking sheet.
  3. Spread the Garlic Butter:
    • Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over each slice of Texas Toast.
