Ingredients
- 2 cups shrimp (peeled, deveined, cooked or sautéed)
- 1 tbsp butter (for cooking shrimp, optional)
- 1 tsp garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning (or oregano + basil mix)
- 1 loaf French bread or 8 slices of thick sandwich bread
- 4 tbsp butter (softened)
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Monterey Jack)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese (grated, optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Shrimp:
- Heat 1 tbsp butter in a skillet.
- Add shrimp, garlic, and Italian seasoning.
- Cook 3–4 minutes until shrimp turn pink. Remove from heat.
- Make Garlic Butter:
- In a small bowl, mix softened butter with garlic powder and parsley.
- Assemble the Sandwich:
- Spread garlic butter on one side of each bread slice.
- Place a slice (butter side down) in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add a layer of mozzarella and cheddar, then some shrimp.
- Top with Parmesan (optional) and more cheese.
- Cover with another slice of bread (butter side up).
- Grill:
- Cook until the bottom is golden brown, about 3–4 minutes.
- Flip carefully, press down slightly, and cook another 3–4 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Serve:
- Slice in half, garnish with fresh parsley, and enjoy hot with marinara or ranch dip.
