Ingredients

  • 4 slices of crusty bread (e.g., sourdough or Italian bread)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8-10 large cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, finely chopped (optional, for garnish)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Garlic Butter:
    In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with minced garlic, parsley, and Italian seasoning. Spread this mixture evenly on one side of each bread slice.
  2. Assemble the Sandwich:
    • Heat a skillet over medium heat.
    • Place two slices of bread in the skillet, butter side down.
    • Sprinkle a layer of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top of each bread slice.
    • Arrange cooked shrimp evenly over the cheese layer.
    • Add another sprinkle of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top of the shrimp.
    • Place the remaining bread slices on top, butter side up.
