- 1 loaf of French or Italian bread (sliced in half lengthwise)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese generously over the buttered bread.
- Place the bread halves on a baking sheet, cheese side up.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
