Cheesy Garlic Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of French bread or Italian bread
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the loaf of bread in half lengthwise.
  3. In a bowl, mix the softened butter and minced garlic until well combined. Add a pinch of salt.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the buttered bread, then top with grated Parmesan.
  6. Add oregano and chopped parsley if using.
  7. Place the bread halves on a baking sheet, cheese side up.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. For extra golden cheese, broil for an additional 1–2 minutes—watch carefully to prevent burning!
  10. Slice and serve warm.
