Ingredients
- 4 medium boiled potatoes
- 2 tbsp cornflour (or all-purpose flour)
- 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- ½ tsp black pepper powder
- ½ tsp paprika or chili flakes
- Salt to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella (or cheddar) cheese
- 1 tbsp oil (for mixing)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Peel and mash the boiled potatoes in a bowl until smooth.
- Add cornflour, garlic powder, black pepper, paprika, and salt. Mix well to form a dough-like mixture.
- Take a portion of the mixture and shape into fries (thin sticks).
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the potato fries until golden and crispy.
- Once fried, place them on tissue paper to remove excess oil.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese on top while fries are hot.
- Let the cheese melt, or place under a broiler/oven for 1–2 minutes until bubbly.
- Serve hot with ketchup, mayo, or cheesy dip. 😋
