Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked and shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works great)
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese blend)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 (8 ounce) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Everything bagel seasoning, or sesame seeds (optional, for topping)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine Filling Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the cooked shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, green onions (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly combined.
  3. Prepare Crescent Rolls: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate the triangles.
  4. Fill the Rolls: Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture onto the wide end of each crescent roll triangle.
  5. Roll Up: Roll up the crescent rolls from the wide end to the pointed end, and gently curve the ends to form a crescent shape.
  6. Egg Wash and Topping: Place the filled crescent rolls on an ungreased baking sheet. Brush the tops of the rolls with the beaten egg. Sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning or sesame seeds, if desired.
  7. Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Cool and Serve: Let the rolls cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
