For the Biscuit Base:

- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

- Extra 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a baking dish.
- Make Biscuit Dough:
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in cold butter using a pastry cutter or fingers until crumbly. Add milk and shredded cheddar cheese; mix just until combined. Do not overwork. - Press into Dish:
Spread the biscuit dough evenly into the greased baking dish. - Prepare the Pepper Topping:
In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté sliced bell peppers and onions until slightly soft (about 4–5 minutes). Season with black pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. - Assemble the Bake:
Spread the sautéed pepper mixture evenly over the biscuit dough. Sprinkle extra cheese on top. - Bake:
Place in the oven and bake for 20–25 minutes or until the biscuit base is cooked through and the cheese is golden and bubbly. - Cool & Serve:
Let it cool slightly before cutting into squares. Serve warm for best flavor.
