Cheesy Baked Hot Dog Rolls Recipe

These cheesy baked hot dog rolls are a fun and easy twist on classic hot dogs. Perfect for parties, gatherings, or a quick family dinner.

Ingredients:

• 1 package (8 count) hot dogs
• 1 package (8 count) hot dog buns
• 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or a blend of your favorite cheeses)
• 1/2 cup diced onion (optional)
• 1/4 cup diced bell pepper (optional)
• 2 tablespoons butter, melted (or olive oil)
• 1 tablespoon mustard (optional)
• 1 tablespoon ketchup (optional)
• Optional Toppings:
  • Relish
  • Jalapenos
  • everything bagel seasoning.
  • chives.

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Hot Dogs:
   • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
   • If desired, you can lightly pre-cook the hotdogs, either by pan frying, or quickly boiling them. This will make the final product less likely to burst when baked.
2. Prepare the Buns:
   • Lay the hot dog buns on a baking sheet.
   • If using, brush the inside of the buns with a small amount of the melted butter.
   • If desired, spread a thin layer of mustard or ketchup inside the hot dog buns.
3. Assemble the Rolls:
   • Place a hot dog in each bun.
   • Sprinkle shredded cheese generously over each hot dog.
   • If using, sprinkle diced onion and bell pepper over the cheese.
4. Bake:
   • Brush the tops of the buns with the remaining melted butter.
   • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the buns are golden brown.
5. Serve:
   • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
   • Add any desired toppings, such as relish, jalapenos, or everything bagel seasoning.
   • Serve immediately.
